Shaw to study Iraq refinery rehabilitation project
The Shaw Group said Tuesday that it was awarded a contract by the South Refineries Co. - part of Iraq’s Ministry of Oil - to provide a feasibility study for the rehabilitation of its 140,000 bpd refinery in Basra, Iraq. The study is funded by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) through a grant to the South Refineries Co.
Haldor Topsøe wins diesel hydrotreater deal for Rosneft refinery in Russia
Haldor Topsøe has won the contract for a diesel hydrotreating unit for the Russian Syzran Refinery owned by Rosneft, the largest Russian oil company. The contract is a continuation of Topsøe’s and Rosneft’s collaboration, the companies said.

Toyo has been awarded a contract by North West Redwater (NWR) to provide EDS (engineering design specification) work for a heavy oil upgrading and refining complex in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Toyo lands project management deal for Venezuela refinery upgrading work
Toyo Engineering, in consortium with a Venezuelan engineering firm Y&V Ingeniería y Construcción, has been awarded a project management consultant contract for a heavy oil upgrading project of Venezuelan national petroleum company PDVSA at its Puerto La Cruz refinery in the State of Anzoátegui.
