Foster Wheeler’s role as the EPCm contractor includes detailed design, procurement and contracts management on behalf of EPAX, and also the provision of project, construction, pre-commissioning and validation management services. The contract value was not disclosed.
CB&I wins technology deal for Petronas Malaysia petrochemical units
CB&I was awarded a contract by Petronas for licensing and engineering design work on five petrochemicals units in Johor, Malaysia. Lummus Technology said it will provide technology for a steam cracker complex comprising ethylene, butadiene, benzene, isobutylene and MTBE units.
Shell picks Jacobs for engineering on Canada mine
The Jackpine Mine is one of two mines at Shell's Albian Sands site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Officials did not disclose the contract value. Jacobs will deliver a portfolio of projects involving conceptual engineering of new technologies to consolidate tailings and meet environmental requirements.

DuPont picks KBR for engineering contract on Iowa cellulosic ethanol project
KBR will provide front-end engineering, detailed engineering and procurement services to DuPont’s industrial biosciences group for the plant to be constructed in the Midwest US. The ethanol facility is designed to process 1,300 tpd of corn stover and produce 27.5 million gal/year of ethanol.

CB&I was awarded a contract by Enterprise Products for the license and basic engineering of the company’s planned propane dehydrogenation unit on the Texas Gulf Coast. The project will produce 1.65 billion lb/year (approximately 750,000 tpy) of polymer-grade propylene (PGP).
Technip wins engineering deal for Reliance cracker project in India
The ROGC plant will be among the largest ethylene crackers in the world and will be integrated to RIL’s Jamnagar refinery complex, using refinery off-gas as feedstock. The products from that plant will be utilized as feedstock for the new downstream petrochemical plants.
NKNH awards engineering deal to Linde for revamp of Russia olefins plant
Linde Engineering is set to build a new Alpha-SABLIN plant for the production of linear alpha olefins (LAO) in Nizhnekamsk, Russia. NKNH awarded Linde contracts for license, basic/detail engineering and supply of equipment and materials for revamping of NKNH’s existing LAO plant.
