Siemens to work on NGL plant in UAE
Siemens Energy has been awarded a $40 million project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to engineer and supply an integrated power solution for a natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation plant. The customer is a joint venture between Petrofac and GS E&C on behalf of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO), responsible for the fractionation of natural and associated gas from onshore oil operations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Siemens will be the main electrical contractor for GASCO’s Ruwais 4th NGL train, located in the city of Ruwais, UAE. The train is scheduled to go into operation in March 2012.
