Opinion: U.S. crude and fuel exports surge to record highs, but it's not enough
Much of the extra crude is heading to Asia, the region most affected by the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway through which about 20% of the world's supply of crude and refined fuels passed prior to the start of the conflict.
U.S. waiver set to keep Russian oil exports to India near record high
The robust exports to India - the second-largest buyer of Russian crude after China and largest importer of its flagship Urals grade - will likely help Moscow replenish state coffers under pressure due to military spending for the war in Ukraine.
