Energy companies from China, South Korea and Japan have put aside political and commercial rivalries to ship billions of dollars worth of Canadian liquefied natural gas to Asian markets, but they will face stiff competition for supplies and customers from a raft of competing projects. India proposes to import shale gas liquids from US
India has proposed to import shale gas in liquid form from the US, a senior Indian government official said Wednesday. "This is our expectation. This is only a proposal. We proposed our [energy] needs are great," the official said, declining to elaborate further.
Chevron, partners sign LNG sales pact with Tohoku for Australia gas project
Chevron on Monday signed a non-binding agreement with Tohoku Electric Power Co. (Tohoku) to deliver liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Chevron-operated Wheatstone natural gas project in Australia. The company will deliver up to 1 million tpy (MTPA) of LNG to Tohoku for up to 20 years.

Reliance raises $2bn loan for India petrochemical expansion projects
