Israeli energy groups agree to build Cyprus plant for LNG exports
The plant and export facilities would be for gas from a partially Israeli-owned Cypriot field, but could also be expanded for processing other gas, including Israel's large offshore Leviathan reserve, according to a statement from Delek Group, which owns stakes in the Cypriot field and Israeli fields.

Petrobras picks UOP technology for offshore gas processing in Brazil
The Separex membrane systems will be installed aboard the FPSOs to remove carbon dioxide and water from 7 million standard cubic meters/day of natural gas. Earlier this year, UOP announced a similar project with Petrobras for eight FPSO units to be operated in Brazil’s Santos basin oil fields.
CB&I to fabricate pipes for Australia LNG project
CB&I has been awarded a contract in excess of $40 million for pipe fabrication on a major Australian liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. The work will be executed by CB&I's manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates. The name and specific location of the client were not disclosed.
Marubeni to import Russian LNG starting in 2019
Rosneft has been awarded export rights and allowed to sign long-term deals as part of the push by Russian President Vladimir Putin to boost gas exports from the country's Far East. Rosneft plans to build an LNG production base near Sakhalin Island, from which Marubeni will be the first to import.
ExxonMobil seeks permit to export Canadian LNG from British Columbia
The proposed project would be capable of liquefying up to 4 billion cubic feet/year of gas for export via tanker from one of several sites under consideration, according to an application with Canada's National Energy Board. If the application is approved, it could begin shipments as early as 2021.
Shell mulls Philippines floating LNG import terminal near Batangas refinery
If the company goes ahead with the project, the terminal will be a floating facility near Shell's refinery in Batangas, a province just south of Manila, a Shell executive said. He didn't provide details of the feasibility study or the investment required for the project, with a decision to be made in the next year.

The Cypriot cabinet approved plans to sign for a deal with a US-Israeli partnership to build a LNG plant on the island, seeking to exploit the area's untapped energy riches.
