Foundation stone laid for 1.2-MMtpy blue ammonia plant in Qatar
The facility consists of a 1.2-MMtpy ammonia production unit, along with an additional unit for CO2 injection and storage, with a capacity of 1.5 MMtpy. QatarEnergy will provide the new plant with more than 35 MW of electricity from the solar power plant currently being built in Mesaieed Industrial City, thereby becoming blue ammonia.
