Chiyoda giving Shell a hand in Singapore and Malaysia
Chiyoda Singapore (Pte) Ltd., signed a new engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) contract with Shell Eastern Petroleum Ltd. for a project in its Pulau Bukom manufacturing site in Singapore.
Chevron’s budget for next year is $26 billion
Chevron has announced a $26 billion capital and exploratory spending program for 2011. Included in the 2011 program are $2 billion of expenditures by affiliates, which do not require cash outlays by Chevron. Acquisition costs associated with the recently announced purchase of Atlas Energy are not included.
Shaw to help engineer a new ethylene plant in India
The Shaw Group Inc. has been selected by GAIL (India) to provide its proprietary technology and basic engineering for a new 450,000 tpy ethylene plant. Shaw also will provide support during detailed engineering, procurement and construction, and commissioning and startup of the plant, which will be part of GAIL's petrochemical complex in Pata, Uttar Pradesh, India.

PETRONAS and BASF looking at Malaysian chemicals project
BASF and PETRONAS today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to undertake a joint feasibility study to produce specialty chemicals in Malaysia, a move that would extend the two parties’ existing business collaboration in the country. The partners are considering a potential joint investment sum of approximately €1 billion.
