Repsol to align with Pemex on downstream work in Americas, Spain, Portugal

Spain-based Repsol signed a strategic industrial alliance with Pemex, for 10 years, looking for synergies and profits in the short and medium term. The agreement involves cooperation in upstream and LNG in the Americas and downstream operations in the Americas, Spain and Portugal.

Natural gas output declines in lower 48 US states

Natural gas output in the Lower 48 US states in December eased 0.2%, or 0.14 billion cubic feet per day, to 72.54 billion cubic feet a day, government data released Wednesday show. The December data predate some modest output cuts unveiled in January as prices hit 10-year lows.

Blackwater to boost storage capacity at Georgia chemical terminal

Blackwater Midstream will add 60,000 barrels of chemical storage capacity at its terminal site in Brunswick, Georgia, the company said on Wednesday. The Brunswick site will grow from its current capacity of 161,000 bbl to a total of 221,000 bbl after construction is completed.

AspenTech buys German firm SolidSim Engineering

Aspen Technology (AspenTech), a producer and distributor of software and services to the process industries, has acquired SolidSim Engineering GmbH, a Germany-based provider of solids process modeling software. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Linn to buy Kansas gas processing plant from BP

BP has agreed to sell its interests in the Jayhawk gas processing plant in Hugoton, Kansas, and associated producing gas fields in Kansas to an affiliate of LINN Energy. The $1.2bn sale is currently expected to complete on March 30, according to the companies.
