Praxair starts up new hydrogen plant at Valero refinery in Louisiana
Praxair’s steam methane reformer (SMR) in St. Charles, Louisiana, will supply hydrogen and up to 450,000 lb/hour of steam to Valero’s new 60,000 bpd hydrocracker. The hydrocracker produces 1.2 bbl of high-value, low-sulfur products for each barrel of high-sulfur feedstock.
US conditionally approves Dominion to export Cove Point LNG

US energy groups petition federal regulators over railcar safety proposals
The Compressed Gas Association is asking that regulations be rewritten to "clearly indicate that the liquid portion of the gas must not completely fill the tank." It says the rule permits the transport of carbon dioxide and refrigerated liquid "in an unsafe condition," according to a petition.
BG sells stake in Chilean LNG terminal to Enagás
BG Group completed the sale of a second and final stake in the Quintero LNG regasification terminal in Chile to Terminal de Va lparaiso, a company majority owned by Spain's Enagás, for $176 million.
