ACME signs investment agreement for $4.2-B green hydrogen/ammonia project in Oman
ACME Group has signed an investment agreement for the second and third phases of its green hydrogen project in Duqm, Oman, as part of a broader package of investment deals announced by the Special Economic Zone at Duqm. The expansion represents an investment of OMR 1.6 billion ($4.2 billion) and will be developed across 10 square kilometers.
Each phase is designed to produce 71,000 tons of green hydrogen and 400,000 tons of green ammonia annually, with commercial operations targeted for 2030 (Phase 2) and 2033 (Phase 3). ACME said the land allocation for the expansion marks a key milestone in supporting Oman’s ambition to become a global green fuels hub and strengthens planning for future hydrogen and ammonia infrastructure.
The project is already progressing, with China's Shuangliang Group having completed delivery of 80 MW of green hydrogen production systems for the first phase earlier this year.
