For more than 35 yr, Fieldbit CEO Evytar Meiron has been leveraging market opportunities that emerge as a result of newly introduced game-changing technologies that disrupt the way traditional industries operate. At Fieldbit, he is spearheading a revolution in the field service industry by synergistically utilizing wearable technologies with augmented reality. Mr. Meiron has led and mentored technology companies while achieving viable corporate success, whether through bootstrapping or via external VC equity investment recruitment. This includes inventing, founding and acting as CEO for the manufacturer of one of the world’s first SCADA software companies, taking the company from inception and growing it into a multinational operation. Mr. Meiron earned a BS degree in electrical engineering from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, and an executive MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Goldman Sachs predicts that the augmented reality (AR) industry will become an $80-B market by 2025. At first glance, this is probably not a startling number—not when you consider the size of the entertainment industry and how immersed AR has become in video games, movies and the various ways it is being used by smartphone apps.
