Orlen plans maintenance at Polish, Czech refineries in 2026

Polish oil refiner Orlen plans cyclical maintenance at its domestic and Czech refineries this year, finance chief Slawomir Jedrzejczyk said on Thursday.

Under the cyclical shutdown required every four years, Orlen will carry out maintenance of hydrocracking, hydrogen and olefins units at the Plock refinery in the second quarter. Maintenance of hydrocracking and gudron desulfurization installations in Plock is planned for the third quarter.

In the Czech Republic, Orlen plans maintenance at the Kralupy refinery from the end of the first quarter through the start of the second quarter, Jedrzejczyk said.

"As a result, the utilization of our refining capacity will decline by several percentage points," he told a press conference.

In 2025, Orlen processed 39.6 MM tonnes (t) of oil, using 93% of its refining capacity, it said on Thursday.
