Gasoline unit at Dangote refinery expected to restart on October 14

The gasoline unit at Nigeria's Dangote oil refinery is tentatively expected to restart on October 14 following maintenance, industry monitor IIR said on Thursday.

The Dangote refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 bpd, shut its 204,000-bpd residue fluidized catalytic cracking unit (RFCCU) on August 29 for maintenance, IIR said.

Dangote did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The plant, which began processing crude in January 2024, exported a higher volume of fuel oil in September than previous months, according to shipping data firm Kpler.

Modern oil refineries typically export higher volumes of fuel oil when they have an outage or maintenance.
