Russian seaborne diesel exports fall in June due to maintenance
Russia's seaborne diesel and gasoil exports fell in June by 6% on a monthly basis to about 3.35 MMt as production volumes fell due to refinery maintenance, according to LSEG shipping data and market sources.
Turkey and Brazil remained the main importers of Russian diesel and gasoil last month, shipping data showed.
Diesel and gasoil exports from Russian ports to Turkey rose in June to 1.35 MMt, up 15% on a monthly basis, while loadings for Brazil fell by a third from May to 470,000 t after previous ample supplies.
Russia's June diesel and gasoil exports to African countries decreased by 30% from the previous month to about 700,000 t in total, with Morocco, Tunisia, Togo and Egypt among the biggest importers, shipping data showed.
Nearly 240,000 t of diesel and gasoil from Russian ports are waiting for discharge or orders for further destinations on ship-to-ship transfers near the Cypriot port of Limassol, according to LSEG data.
The shipping data also showed that vessels loaded in May with about 230,000 t of diesel in Russian ports had their destination marked as "for orders," meaning their discharge points are either not yet known or not declared.
