Russia`s Tatneft launches new hydrocracking unit on TANECO refinery

Russian mid-sized oil producer Tatneft has launched a new hydrocracking unit at its TANECO refinery, the company reported on Friday.

The new unit, with an annual capacity of 1.2 metric MMtpy, will receive the feedstock of vacuum gasoil from the AVT-6 crude distillation unit at TANECO.

It will produce 0.64 MMt of low-sulfur diesel Euro-6 grade and 0.229 MMt of naphtha, it said.

TANECO launched the first hydrocracker with an annual capacity of 3.3 MMtpy in 2014.

TANECO refined 17 MMt of crude oil in 2024, and produced 2.7 MMt of gasoline and 8.5 MMt of diesel, according to industry sources.
