Akselos tackles flange failures with breakthrough SPM module

Akselos has just launched SPM for Flanges, a new module in its Structural Performance Management (SPM) suite—designed to solve one of the most underestimated challenges in industrial operations: flange failures.

These failures, representing up to 5% of hazardous liquid accidents, are a significant source of downtime and maintenance costs across refineries, floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, and other critical infrastructure. With this tool, Akselos reduces flange analysis time from days to mere hours, being up to 80% faster than conventional methods. This efficiency has helped operation and maintenance teams to make faster, data-driven decisions that enhance safety, reliability and operational efficiency.

SPM for Flanges is part of Akselos’ broader mission to revolutionize structural integrity management. By turning maintenance into a performance driver, the SPM suite not only extends asset life and lowers costs but also redefines how organizations approach ROI—through smart, scalable, site-wide digital solutions.
